Trust Microsoft to take a what was a decent, working and useful app and screw it up. Because adding AI doesn't automatically make stuff better. Particularly when you remove really handy functions like "detect language" from the list of options. It was something I used frequently. It's also something AI would actually be good at too, ironically. But Microsoft are idiots, so I'll be using a different translation app now

they ruined this app. If you read all other reviews, I am not the only one critical of it. I came back after the update thinking "is this the right app?" all the functionality is gone, the ease of use, gone, now its basically useless and unnecessary complicated. it went from simple, clean and useful to this... it feels as if we went backwards in time, instead of forward. Please change it back!

I have used this app for years, and while the update has a new look & new options for how you view your translation, I HATE the new update. Not only is the select & hold for copy & paste gone (I finally figured out how through the share feature), but I use this app 98%, for Chinese. One of my most essential parts of using this app was translating something I wanted to say in Chinese characters, and then swiping to reveal the pinyin so that I could learn how to say something. This feature is gone
